Your goals are achievable for your business with LinkedIn marketing

LinkedIn grew from 722 million subscribers to 732 million in January 2023. 22% of Americans use LinkedIn each day. Why does it matter? To expand professional relationships. The online platform provides an excellent opportunity for the people who want more information about new businesses or looking for a career. Can we sell our product or service online?

LinkedIn is the world's largest professional network. Of all the social platforms it is the most used for business networking. As a business owner the LinkedIn algorithm can help you gain traction for your company. It is not a place for a personal page but is a professional platform. LinkedIn marketing is worth your time.

How to use LinkedIn to market your business

Usually the most common way people think about starting a Facebook page or Twitter site, and one of the most important things people think of in this context is LinkedIn. Yes. LinkedIn is the most active social network. Content marketing by using a blog post, or creating a group, or a newsletter.

Having a LinkedIn marketing strategy will help grow your engagement on the social media platform. Have a reason and a goal for each bit of content you publish on LinkedIn.

LinkedIn ads are useful but I have found them expensive to use. Before you pay for ads make certain your company page is optimized for SEO. And after your company page works then seek out a way to use LinkedIn ads. You can generate leads with good SEO and content.

Is LinkedIn worth it?

Marketing LinkedIn is good for most B2C firms. What is a better strategy for promoting a website to your audience than paying for a paid ad campaign? How? The costs of the course vary depending on the goal.

What is a LinkedIn Marketing Strategy?

LinkedIn differs from the other popular social networking sites. Most social networks focus on fun things to do when not doing anything, and LinkedIn concentrates on developing relationships with businesses. If you're planning to do LinkedIn advertising it is a good strategy to build relationships with potential customers.

What is the right LinkedIn marketing strategy?

  • paid advertising

  • company page

  • posting useful or helpful content

  • create a LinkedIn group

These are all activities you can do to build brand awareness and traffic for your content and company offerings.

How to set up your LinkedIn Company Page

LinkedIn pages are just as crucial as a company's website. The LinkedIn Business page is free for everyone. The Help section on LinkedIn shows how to create a new website.

1. On LinkedIn's website, click the For Business icon in the upper right.

2. Scroll down to "Create a company page". This will be at the bottom of the page.

This is what you will see next.

3. Click ‘Company’, and then follow the steps to build your company page.

Create company page form

This is what you would see next.

Now it is important to remember that people follow people on LinkedIn. So your company page is a secondary or lower in your LinkedIn marketing plan. The most important thing to do is show up regularly on LinkedIn with helpful content that members will find useful for their business. This means no cat videos or personal videos of you on vacation.

Helpful content is what would help answer a question someone might have about their business. How to market on LinkedIn, or how to do SEO. Even content in your area of expertise is helpful content. Just post regularly maybe 3 - 5 times per week.

Create posts of different lengths

Fast, bold posts pack an edge on LinkedIn. Long-form fiction captures the reader's interest and results in more time spent on the app. The latter type of posting needs to be included in LinkedIn's Content Management system. You do not want to come across as someone with no time to watch the monologue or just talk.

In the same way, too many brief postings can appear to lack content, making you appear more authoritative. Changing the duration of the posts (including images/video) can make the content interesting. There will be content to get people interested in your latest gem.

Hashtags

I do not use them anymore. LinkedIn has deprecated the use of hashtags so I would stop worrying about how to use them. It used to be that when you wrote a post LinkedIn would offer a list of suggested hashtags to go along with the post. They no longer do that so that means hashtags are no longer a search tool for LinkedIn posts.

Can you share external posts on LinkedIn?

Yes you can do this. However, posting the link in the main body of the post will reduce the reach of your post. So if you do post links I would suggest doing that in the comment section of the post. That way it looks more to LinkedIn as if you are sharing helpful content. Remember LinkedIn wants you to stay on the platform for links in posts will drive people away from the platform. LinkedIn does not want that.

This is different from Twitter(X) which will block or suspend your account for posting links. They call it a matter of safety, but who knows?

Keep your publishing schedule consistent.

LinkedIn has an extremely lengthy content life cycle and is an online platform with no publishing schedule. It needs constant consistency. Every time your website publishes it gets the attention it deserves. Choose an optimal work schedule and stay with it for ten months. Find out what day is the most engaging and include these in the publication schedules you want. In this post, you can learn more about LinkedIn by using this website and by using the LinkedIn app.

Optimize your LinkedIn profile for search engines

SEO can be achieved with the help of a simple Google search query or a simple Facebook page and it's not restricted to blogs. This keyword is available in several sections of the profile, like the headline of the article or a summary. Download a simple starter package for SEO and get the best information on optimizing a website.

Check your network updates (or share your own)

Network Updates can be accessed from your LinkedIn homepage or from your LinkedIn account's website. Check this feed regularly for updates about what others share. You can also provide your own updates, including information about your product or service and noteworthy content your company created or published. The feed can be filtered by a combination of "Top Updates and Recent Updates" for any feed.

Start a Newsletter

I think this is an awesome way to create a brand or thought leadership presence. A newsletter or article post on LinkedIn will show up in SERPs. So an article or newsletter post will have a long shelf life. Usually longer than a regular post.

Also, when you create a newsletter all the people in your network will receive a suggestion to subscribe to the newsletter. This makes it very easy to build an audience on LinkedIn with a newsletter.

Join LinkedIn groups and stay active

One of my tips is to join Facebook groups that target their target market segment. Not only is this one of the great ways to listen to what the public wants to hear but there are also times to engage with small business owners to talk about it or offer advice.

LinkedIn Groups can be used to communicate with a lot of other LinkedIn users. LinkedIn Groups provide a great way of finding other companies that are similar to one another but have no connection yet.

LinkedIn Groups are meant to provide an excellent forum for industry professionals. Although LinkedIn Groups have become important since LinkedIn released its platform last year, they are incredibly important.

You could even start your own LinkedIn group. Many Influencers use this as another way to boost their LinkedIn marketing efforts. A LinkedIn group around a topic, or your company would give you a place to post your content every day. It would be for your brand and would be part of your personal LinkedIn profile. It would foster business relationships for your brand or company page.
